The truth about failure, out loud.

Fuckup Nights is a global event series where people tell, and hear, the story of a professional failure. Pulse runs it in Belgium to change how this country talks about failing.

What it is

Everyone tells the success story.

In our working lives we forget that we are human, and that failure is natural and unavoidable. The business world is short on honesty and humility. Fuckup Nights breaks that habit in more than 250 cities across 70 countries: people take a stage and tell what went wrong.

Honest conversations about professional failure make work healthier, cut frustration and let innovation out. And failure stops being private the moment it is said out loud to a room of strangers.

Why Pulse runs this

A country that hides failure produces fewer entrepreneurs.

Belgium treats a failed business as something to keep quiet, and that silence has a price. The next founder repeats a mistake nobody admitted to, and the one who never begins is simply lost.

Changing that is cultural work rather than a program, which is exactly the kind of work a foundation can carry. Entrepreneurs take a stage and tell the real story, and for one evening failure stops being shameful.
