The Wallons-y! manifesto

In Wallonia, it is already happening.

The talent is here. Plenty of it. So are the ideas. Researchers, makers, founders. Young people who want to try. Women and men who go for it, who create opportunities and jobs, who take risks and innovate.

But we still start too few things, and too quietly. This movement came out of one simple conviction: Wallonia does not have a talent problem, it has a problem of action and scale. It needs more women and men who start and build. It needs more enterprising spirit.

That is exactly where the work is. Turn the enterprising spirit into a collective force, a shared momentum, so that more Walloon women and men dare, create, take over, innovate, grow and build a life here. Not with another slogan, but with concrete commitments, visible role models, stronger entrepreneurial networks, and a culture that values initiative, nerve, the right to try and the pride of daring.

The ambition is clear: by 2040, make Wallonia one of the most enterprising regions in Europe. The movement is open to everyone who wants to take part. The more energy it gathers, the faster and the further Wallonia goes.
